Default Driver side key cylinder won't lock or unlock

This morning when I went to unlock my car I noticed that my key wouldn't turn left or right. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Any help would be gladly appreciated.

Your tumblers in the lock cylinder are most likely worn out. The best fix is to replace the tumblers (dealership or a locksmith will have them) and get a new key cut (or use a spare that is gently used). Using the old worn key with the new tumblers will where them out prematurely.

My other locks are fine except that one. So if I call a locksmith do I just hand them the lock cylinder or do they usually do it on the spot?

I'm sure one could do it on the spot. I'd call and ask what they prefer. There should be no need to replace the tumblers in the other locks. The reason the driver's went out first is because it gets used the most.
