Default driver side window problem

So I've searched through the forums trying to solve this problem, and I can't seem to narrow it down.

1st of all, when I put my top down, the pass window goes down, but the driver's side window doesn't. It goes down maybe an inch. If I stop the top going down, and then hit the roof button again, the window will move about an inch again, and again if I keep doing it.

2nd of all, I know if you push the driver side window button all the way down until it clicks and then release it should take the window all the way down without having to continue pushing the button. This is also not working.

Other than the windows work fine.

I've taken out the fuse several times and put it back in, and it solves both the problems for about 3 top drops, but after that both of the problems come back. The fuse also looks fine.

It's more of an annoyance than anything, especially now that the weather has been nicer and I've been putting the top down. I know in a previous thread someone mentioned a window relay? I checked in the manuel but couldn't find anything on it. If it's a window relay problem, where is it and can this problem be fixed???

Thanks for any input!!!

try and re-set the window switch by lowering the window all the way, then press the window switch down all the way again. then raise the window all the way and push the switch all the way down and release. see if the window goes all the way automatically like it's suppose to.

if the reset trick doesn't work, you'll have to replace your window regulator with one from an MY03+

my reset trick only seemed to like to work for a month at a time so i found a used window regulator on the sale forums for $50 shipped. new from dealer will cost roughly $200.

yeah there was a TSB on this for 01's...maybe 00's too? idk.

mine does it...pretty much the only thing that's gone wrong with the car. kind of annoying....but it's second nature now just to roll it down after the top drops.
