Everytime I go to put my top down the driver side window goes down about 2 inches and stops. If anyone out there can help me figure out what its catching on Id greatly appreciate it.

 

That is a TSB for your 2001. I had the same problem with mine and took it in to the dealer and they replaced the motor. Give it a try.

i had the same problem and did the temporary window fix.. it worked fine until i did the roof thing.. after a while i changed my factory speakers and had to remove the door panels which included unclipping the window harness..

after i unclipped the harness i blew out the dust and did a firm connect back together.. ever since, my window has been fine.. give it a shot, its free and fast.. just my .02cents tho.

 

Thanks both of you for the help. I'll try taking the panel off and cleaning that out and making sure the connection is good. If that doesnt work, then I guess I'll be forced to take it to the dealership. Once again, thanks.
