Driveshaft spider/tripod/inboard joint snapped
Not even 100% sure what the name is for this part as I've seen so many but it's the piece which sits inside the cups that come off the diff and has roller bearings on. Basically has snapped, mine went last night and my brothers done two in two weeks (coisidental I'm not sure) can't seem to find much about this problem but is there an upgraded solution to prevent this?

A broken spider is from launching, or an agressive clutch.
If you beef it up, your dif or second gear will be next to break.
What were you doing when it broke? What clutch do you have? Is the axle oem?

I pulled away slightly more aggressively than I usually do when it happened, probably the first time since I replaced the clutch for a stage 1 and some sticky tyres probably didn't help either. Just don't expect it to be doing this. Axel is all OEM

I snapped mine too but at the dragstrip, redlining first gear about to shift into 2nd. Decided to just replace it with another oem for the same reasons billman250 stated. The bearings actually punctured though the housing!
