Default Driving without a knock sensor

My knock sensor broke so I am waiting for a new one. I have been driving the car and it is fine but I have not gone over 4000RPM.

Is it safe to drive? Is it safe to go over 400RPM?
I emptied the tank and filled up with 99Ron fuel so there is no reason the engine should knock?

if your cel is on.. than the car will go into limp mode.. which means it has a preset settings for running your car.. just enough to get you by till u get it fixed..

fuel can have some effects to knocking but shifting at low rpms and giving more gas than it can take.. can cause knock.. also idle is the worse.. since its works harder to stay at so low rpms with such a high compression engine.. but i could be wrong
