So, I'm running an 04 AP2 with and 01 AP1 ECU and I'm concerning about passing smog and how the OBDII system cross check the VIN # to match up with the data stored in DMV. I didn't think about before if this could become an issue and sold my original ecu long time ago, stupid move.

Anyhow, I ran across this thread by deathsled https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...0&#entry9842335 and he said that he passed. He also mentioned that the computer did check for VIN #, but he didn't say much more. I'm also curious if you can even pull the VIN # from an AP1 ECU. I spent the last hour searching through the entire board if the VIN is even stored in the ECU, nothing came up.
