I am going to be putting on a T1R single exhaust/testpipe on soon.

I was wondering, will a EMS (AEM or VAFC) tuning greatly increase hp/torque? It seems that the cat and y pipe are restrictive of air, so I am guessing tuning will help alot?

If anyone has any real #s that would be great, but I am just wondering if it will give me big gains or not.

the ems will help a lot... the vafc will not do much.....

 

Whereas the EMS is the way to get whatever advantage the exhaust promises don't expect anything major. For over $2500 (EMS, tuning, exhaust, test pipe) you might get double digit Kws). Not great IMNSHO but better value than a Mugen intake. YMMV
