Default VAFC II or AEM EMS

I was just wondering what you guys think would be better for my 01 s2k. I would like to purchase one now and possibly FI my car later. Is the AEM EMS worth the extra money in terms of performance, options, and reliability?

They are on completely different ends of the spectrum. Spend a little more time reading about the two and their capabilities then come back with questions.

If you are planning on going FI at any point, the EMS is the way to go.

Only problem with EMS is you have to have a good tuner. My old setup was a pain in the ass! In KC there is exactly 1 person who tunes them, didn't do a very good job either. Next time around I am going a different route.

Thanks for the info. More specifically I don't plan on supercharging my s2k for at least a year and a half, maybe two. In the mean time I will be purchasing exhaust, and an intake and Either a VAFC or the AEM, possibly the e-manage. Is it worth it to buy the VAFC and then the EMS when I do SC or just get the EMS straight up? I know the EMS has many more options and set ups and a two step launch for cars with FI and the VAFC is more basic. Just let me know what you think. Thanks

PM silver9k or 9ksilver

He has the EMS with a few bolt ons and is pushing around 225 to the wheels. With a good tuner, the EMS is totally worth it.
