I always found that to be such a difficult bolt to remove that I left it in place on this engine. It's in an odd spot and on a very tight angle. I've drained the fluid a couple times and always got out pretty much the entire amount of coolant without removing that bolt. I wasn't concerned about any small amount of fluid that could have been left in the engine as it couldn't have been very much. Not having to remove the bolt was worth it to me. The fluid that has come out of my engine has always been very clean.
