That's a strange one... I've had my RSX S not go into VTEC sometimes, but never cut out before the redline...

I bet if it was there fault...they won't admit it! they'll just make up some excuse and tell you the repairs were covered under warranty.

ok guys, just got the car back last week. The oil pressure switch connection was loose. It took a few days for them to figure it out.

I Can't tell you exactly where it is.. I think in the Helm manual, it was in front of the engine block. I don't know why it didn't throw a check engine light. Maybe the ecu thought the oil was low but not low enough to send a warning signal.
