Default Engine light comes on only after racing

So I noticed every now and then after I drive my car hard, my check engine light comes on, not blinking, but it stays on for a day, then goes away. Do other AP1's have this wierd issue too? And when the engine light is on, my car sounds rough too, but then sounds normal again after the engine light turns off. I love these mysterious issues our cars can have, cracks me up

Have you ever bothered to get the code? Because without the code, this thread is useless.

That is not what you said. See the bolded text.

The bottom line is with out the code, we can only guess. Next time top by Autozone and have them pull the code.

Oh, and STOP RACING!

since all you have to do is race it to get the engine light on, do so and then take it in and have the code read.

Check your gas cap. That is a common problem for CEL.
