HI guys,
i have been having this problem for few days.....its starts when the engine light suddenly turn on by itself, i didnt do anything to the car...so i went to honda dealer, and they told me that the knock sensor is broken (looks like its been damaged)....the knock sensor isnt mount properly, its sort of hanging around....recently like 150 miles ago, i changed my clutch...could it be the cause??could it be the clutch guy damaged it while installing the clutch>???
does any1 here had same problem with me??and where is the knock sensor??dealer told me its near header, but i couldnt find it.....can some1 help me....
thx alot....
and yeah the weird part is, the light will off when u turn off the car and put it back on....but when travell approx 200m, it will start to on again...

I don't have my Helm manual handy, but I recall that the knock sensor is on the side under the intake manifold. The only thing I can think of on the exhaust side is the coolant drain plug (or in my case, the block heater). I suppose the guy who did the clutch job could have damaged it when trying to get at the starter bolt.
i was installed my oem exhaust on my car today and after the check engine light came on. is that because i possibly hit a sensor somewhere? if so where. and also i did not put in the exhaust gasket yet (because i lost mine) could that be the problem?

If your talking about the gasket between the header and the head, I'm not sure that's your problem with the cel. BUT, you can do major damage to the head without a gasket, by overheating it.
You probably snagged an O2 wire
Best advice...don't drive the car, get the gasket
Go to Autozone or something and get a cheap OBDII code reader. They may even do a quick scan for you for free.
Don't reset the ECU, it won't fix anything.
