If it's leaking oil you know why it got low so quickly. Chances are you're going to have some pretty serious engine damage since it probably ran out of oil. It also probably won't be covered under warranty because warranties cover defects not situations like this. However, it's possible the Chevy dealer caused the leak (is there an oil drain plug in the pan?) and if that's the case the Chevy dealer could be liable for the repairs. Good luck.

yeah i got it from a chevy dealer and it showed that it had the oil changed 1 mile b4 i bought it.

i think it may be the rear main seal. or they didnt change the oil and it finally gave out.

i didnt add any oil the oil was changed by the chevy dealer 6 weeks ago (2500 miles ago) so you wouldnt think i would need to check the oil. i have only owned the car for 6 weeks.

now i looked underneath the car and its leaking oil but its coming out near the oilpan/ tranny i dont have a jack with me at my house so i cant really tell. i just its leaking out all of the oil i just put into it
If it puked out oil from the oil pan resulting in an expired engine, then they have to honor the warrenty because the engine seals "between the pan and block" are covered under warrenty.

Ahhhh....ok. Check where it's leaking but dont start removing things to preserve fault. Now it sounds to me like you've got a genuine case. I'm sure it's gonna get pretty ugly with lawyers and everything, but it'll be taken care of for free. GOOD LUCK!
