Engine ringing noise under load
Hello, im getting a metallic ringing noise from around 2000rpm up to 3500rpm with around 50% throttle.
Its quite a high pitched noise and i cant replicate it while parked up to help me find it. Could anyone give me some ideas for what to check?
Im selling the car so i want the car in 100% mechanical condition before sale. Thanks Rob

Thanks for the reply, I found this thread... https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/386...e-at-take-off/
I'll change the pcv anyway. Thanks again

i had a noise, in similar circumstances as you mentioned. I found out that I was missing a bolt from the exhaust manifold heat shield and another one was loose. might be worth checking all your heat shields underneath your car to make sure they are secure..
Did you find out what the issue was?
Mine just starting to behave this way today.
I feel like this "metallic" noise only comes on when i'm driving slightly slow in a higher gear and then I step on the throttle to about 50%.
Kinda like how you can "charge up" the intake noise? This is when it happens. I checked the hoses and they all seem to be tight.
I will check the bolts later on
