That's a bit harsh...

Anyway, I suggest finding a used motor. It'll be much less of a time commitment to just swap the motor vs. taking yours out, apart, rebuilding, and have it last and perform to OEM standards.

Are we past the point of just a thrush washer replacement? We dont know if this engine is salvageable or not based on current information. Also, if it ran dry of oil, I would expect the OP to say his engine is knocking.

Junky is right. Its not a low oil situation, bad oil change situation that was corrected, but later engime seized. If it were, there would would have been plenty of knocking going on well before it seized.

Its all, and continues to be even with the new info, classic thrust bearing symptoms. Car stalled while driving, wouldn't restart. Later it started, and drove. Seized again. Now can't even turn it manually with a wrench and plugs removed. The rest of the details are just clouding things. False correlations and conclusions (I started riding my bicycle to work, and 2 weeks later I was diagnosed with cancer. Conclusion, cycling causes cancer).

If you focus on the symptoms only, and don't try to draw conclusions of causation, its clear its all classic thrust washer.

As to how to confirm that diagnosis, and what to do about it, this thread needs Billman.

Sending out the Billman Bat signal...

Sorry if I was harsh, not intending to be harsh. I was frustrated. Should have kept fingers off keyboard.

It is what it is. Take it to a competent tech and let them sort it out. Past a diy project.
