Engine squeal at startup

Are you starting your car with the A/C or defroster light on? If it's the serpentine belt, having the A/C compressor running puts more strain on the belt, making it more likely to squeal at startup. If it only squeals when the A/C light is on, then your problem is your belt or possibly the idler pulley tensioner (unlikely). I agree that the idler pulley bearing likely will not stop squeaking after a few seconds.

Have somebody start your car with a cold engine and the cabin fan/AC/defroster off while you have the hood up and you're listening for the noise. Try to figure out where the sound is coming from.

The noise from a sticking starter isn't really a squeal. It's more like a grind. If the noise is more like a rattling card-in-spoke sound, then it's your TCT.

No I have not been starting the car with the A/C or defroster light on. Its def not a rattling type of sound either.

The sound happens very randomly and not very often at all. Could be a few days apart, a few weeks, or over a month. However, I do appreciate your advice slalom. ty.
