Absolutely NOT! I'm a firm believer that you should prepare the car for storage, park it and leave it alone till you are ready to drive it regularly again. You should do nothing to it while it is "sleeping". Maybe take out the battery or put a "smart" charger on it. Doing the first, your ECU will have to learn all over again in the spring anyway. Doing the smart charger thing will help to remember the last set of parameters it experienced before you parked it.
In the spring, it "might" take a few driving cycles for the ECU to "get with the program" and it'll be fine. It may be fine immediately.
You said you went out and started it once in a while. This may have mitigated some of the car's problems. Check out some of those things discussed in this thread and for next winter, just leave the car alone till spring.
