Default Engine trouble?

I hear a faint tapping noise when at idle. I have over rev'd once in the past (5th to 2nd deal) and now I think its catching up to me. From my vauge description can the experts here guide me to what may be causing this tapping type noise. I think it may have something to do with the valves after reading some of the stuff in this section but I am not 100% sure. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

A big key is if you are throwing a CEL light.

If you are not than I would make sure your oil is full enough and that isn't your rods knockin down there.

If it is full, than your valve cover will need to come off.

Take a look and seeif there are any scoring marks and if the valves are in equal length which each other.

I had one exhaust and one intake valve on the #4 cylinder sit almost half an inch above all the others when my engine blow.

Good luck and take care of it now before things get worse.
