Default EPS problem

During the whole process of searching for the problem with my MAP sensor (previously posted thread), I kinda followed what was written in the manual that coming from an ECU reset, you must rev the engine at a steady 3000rpm for 5min(I read it somewhere there in the manual. So 3 minutes passed and still reving it at 3000, my EPS light went on. I ignored it and went on with the steady rev, thinking I will just fix it right after I solve the MAP problem.

Solved the MAP problem, now it's the EPS.

Checked the connections are all ok and before it happened, my EPS was ok and the car was just in the garage.

How do I get to make the EPS work again?

Haven't driven the car yet since I was fixing the map problem I had in the previous thread. Found out the VAFC wiring for the MAP was not connected to the wire.

Right now I found out that the VSS wire where I connected the Pivot Speed meter Z wire (green for the ECU side) had the white wire for the harness side disconnected so no VSS signal being sent. So I connected them back together, but the EPS is still on.

EPS box wires - check and connected
Plugs on the steering mechanism - check and connected
Fuse - ok
VSS signal wire from ECU, Speed Meter Z, and harness - check and connected
Ground - ok

How do I reset the EPS? Read something about shorting it but I don't exactly know how to do the short.

We'll try to drive it. Tried to check the DTC by shorting PIN 4 and 9 (paperclip) and I got

DTC 3, 5, 14, 22, 33

Checked on DTC 3 and 5 by going thru the manual tests, everything's ok. Got the 3 more DTC's to diagnose, but come to think of it, I didn't really touch any of the EPS components and I was able to drive it fine with EPS before I came across the MAP problem. Maybe it might really need to be driven out for it to go away. Read some other forum that he drove the car and eventually it went away.

Is it ok to drive it while the EPS ain't workin?

Regardless of the light, does the EPS actually work when you drive? If so , maybe a few miles of driving will reset the light.

Drive it. Drive it. Drive it. It threw a code because it didn't see VSS at that rpm. It will reset once you drive it.

Drive the car already. That will take care of your issue.
