AHH! So I was getting in my car today, and I accidentally kicked my a loose wire on my yellow box

(the greay one that connects the yellow box to the dash) Anyway, the car ran like normal, just no speedo. Until I stopped and killed itl. When I started back up, I had a CEL (which is understandable, seeing as nothing was going to the dash for speedo) But what i can't understand is the rest. Whenever i stopped, the car started shuddering, like ti was about to die, then idle back up. I killed the A/C andthat made it stop shuddering constantly, but it kept pulsing with the shudder and idle up.

Well I started the drivehome (I'll fix the wire problem in the morning) But on the drive home, my EPS light came on, and I lost power steering. Is this normal? What could be wrong? Hopefully when I fix the wire and clear the CEL, it will all be taken care of, but I want to see what else could be the problem. ANyone have any ideas? Tried searching, but it seems dead ATM.

 

well I fixed the wire problem, and that killed the CEL


but my EPS light is still on, and I've got no clue why. can anyone give me some ideas?

 

Mebbe that wasn't the only wire damaged in the kick?

 

ehh I got it all settled. when I started the car again the eps light was off, and power steering was back on. I guess it just needed a second or two to reset that as well.

 

The EPS relies on road speed as one of it's inputs, hence your light.
