Default Everything lighting up without the key in

I'm in the process of building a competition car for tt3. A friend and i stripped out the heater core and everything under the dash. When i reconnected the battery, all the lights on the car instantly lit up. I did not even have the key in. When i disconnected the kill switch at the removable knob, it stopped flashing. And when i say everything lit up i mean Tail lights, head lights, dash, blinkers. Any ideas?

Sounds like crossed plugs/connectors.

Pull fuses one at at time, until lights go out. This will narrow it down.

One of your battery circuits (everything that works without the ignition key) is feeding your ignition circuit (everything that needs the key on to work)
