I think they run about $1100-$1200 range.

I haven't experienced anything odd with this unit. I only have about 400 miles on the whole assembly. Did your Cusco do it right up front or did it take some time to start making the noise?

YS....I ordered mine today from Dave @ RandDmotorsports. I always like doing business with him. I was going to go the ACT route, but the guy I was going to get it from was pushing the Exedy hard! Then when you got yours, and I found out Dave sells them too-it was a done deal! I told Dave I would call him back in an hour and it took 10 seconds!! I was saving my pennies for the Volk wheels, but this is something I know I will soon need. I am going to milk my stock clutch until it slips, then this baby will be waiting to pop in. The S/C install begans Sat. AM!!!!

Phil-

I would install it as soon as possible - it makes a huge difference in how the car performs My stock clutch didn't last very long after the SC install and I didn't drive the car particularly hard.

YS.. I might do it in a couple of weeks. Would you delay the S/C to do the clutch first? I am dying to do the S/C, that is the problem. Is the job itself really all that much harder once the S/C is in or not true?? Thanks for all your help, Phil

Since the SC won't really produce much extra power at lower RPMs (launch), why would you need to replace the clutch before it is worn out? High RPM shifts will certainly accelerate the wear, and shorten the OEM clutch's life, but I don't see any justification to replace the OEM clutch until it is worn out.

My OEM clutch has sucked ass since it was new, and I've been thinking it is on the verge of death for the past 10K miles, but it is still just as strong (or weak) as it was 10K miles ago. Clutches for this car are expensive, so unless you have tons of money to burn, stick with what you got until you have to replace it. The clutch install and SC install shouldn't really have any "overlap" in labor.

I am planning on "milking" my stock clutch as long as it isn't slipping-which I don't think will take long. My friend here in NM has a Comptech S/C and told me it fried his stock clutch quickly and a huge performance gain was had with his upgraded clutch. I thought since I had a good tax year, I would buy it now while I can, instead of possibly having to wait when I reall need it. Glad to hear it isn't the kiss of death to do the job after the S/C!! Thanks guys for all your knowledge and help, and YS keep me posted on the Exedy's performance!!! Phil
