f20c shortblock
hi guys,
i drive 2009 s2000 (f20c) for 15 years.
i bought it 0km , and now its 130k km.
thats my second s2000 , my first car also 2004 ap1 s2000..
i almost drive s2000 for 20 years.
the new one (2009) broke connectin rods when its 70k km.
it was my mistake .
when runing in 6th gear about 130km/h , i want it down to 4th gear but i down it 2th gear by mistake.
booooom engine broken.
so i can accept that.
i bought new shortblock and build with full oem parts.
today when i running about 130km/h in 6th gear suddenly engine shutdown and got cracky noise.
i knew that sound
connecting rods broke again.
i tow the car my mechanic , lift it up then saw 2. connection rod make a hole in engine block.
i cant get it what is reason ?
someone say bad fuel can make this but i always use shell fuel...
anyway let bygones be bygones...
f20c shortblock can still buy in dealership ?
people say f20c shortblock not available any more ?
is that true ?

Typically, rebuilding these engines does not work well, for many reasons.
It may be better to buy a used engine which has never been opened up or rebuilt. A good engine should last more than the life of the car itself.
