Default F22C Top Dead Center Sensor

I purchased a F22C valve cover off the auctions here in Japan so I could get it painted and eventually swap out mine. I got the valve cover several months ago and it was sitting at the paint shop for months (painter quit) and I just got it back a couple days ago. I went to install it today and didn't notice until today, the JDM valve cover doesn't have a Top Dead Center Sensor on the back right corner. I am assuming the TDC sensor doesn't come on 06+ in the states? Japan never got throttle cable F22Cs, so I guess that is the reason my cover doesn't have it.

Either way, food for thought. If you find a JDM F22 valve cover for sale anywhere, just know that it doesn't have that sensor attachment point. Learn from my mistake. Oh well, I guess I have another cool part to hang in the garage.

So a 2006 has only one TDC sensor and its on the passenger side rear valve cover, correct? Just asking as I'm planning on doing a valve adjustment on my 06 and all of the write ups on the process mention removing both of the sensors and I can't seem to locate the one on the drivers side. Write ups do mention other differences between AP1s and AP2s but not this one..

Sorry to ask such a basic question but first timer (for S2k) here.

You should only have one sensor on a DBW model.

Thanks for confirming this. The write ups on Valve cover removal seem to miss the difference.
