Anything you can do to increase the efficiency of the motor will give you more power. It is safe to assume that due to emissions controls, mass production limitations, and general safety of the hardware that the motor is not optimized from the factory.

A motor is a motor. You increase compression and it increases power in every scenario that I can think of. You give it more air, and tune more (assuming the factory tune is not designed for peak power) you will get more power.

The one thing that you probably won't need is a VAFC. Check out the A/F curves at www.vtec.net to see how much leaner the new F22C runs. Other than that, pick up a Toda header, a CAI and a nice exhaust and enjoy

It would be more usefull to yourself and everyone else if you dyno before you get your mods, then after.
