Ok so im gonna be picking up a ap1 next week. And i have a few questions that i am sure you guys on here can answer for me. i will first post what the seller told me the motor has done to it and then i will post what i asked him

the car has a comptech supercharger with aftercooler, with comptech fmu. walbro 255 fuel pump, and ESM box. 5.5lb pully and it is untuned. just running off of the fmu.

I in turn asked him if it was safe to run untuned and just on the fmu? I have always had turbo cars and a fmu = disaster in the turbo world. My question for you guys is, is it safe to run the car on the fmu the way he says? i appologize for my ignorance but i just want to know before hand. thanks in advance

I would personally be wary of the car. Very wary. Especially since he never had it tuned!

exactly my thoughts.

get the motor compression and leakdown tested, check the oil, maybe have him drain some and use a magnet to check for particles.

check the condition of the spark plugs (look for detonation)

you never know, you may be able to bargain him down by bsing that it wasn't tuned properly and could blow, but still be a good motor.
