according to the book:

F20C1-1010001 is a US motor
F20C1-1110001 is a Canadian motor

But this: 1000034, must be a JDM motor, because of the first three digits yes????

if it was JDM it would be an F20C2 and the stamping clearly indicates its an F20C1.

Ok...the block is a MY2000 American spec. That does not explain the intake, or the wiring harness. I'll post pics of the harness later.

Maybe a very very early '00 motor? What's the chassis VIN?

I have the top manifold. I have a 2002 engine# F20C1- 1021655 build date 11-01
The car is an early 2002, January 02 was delivery of my baby

Edit: the engine numbers with a better look....last 4 numbers of vin are 1659,
4 numbers off of engine. They must have taken extra time with my car to make sure it was perfect

Rats....they are all like the first pic.

I'd love to see someone who has the manifold in the second pic.

The engine number is 1000034, meaning the 34th one made in 2000. This may be a pre-production motor and intake, used for prototype purposes, not sold to the public. Unless someone has a JDM they can take a pic of....

Aight more pics...I'll keep the old style motor on top like the first pics, and this odd motor on the bottom.

check out the IAC mounting....

old motor:

weird motor:

old harness, back of cyl head:

weird harness:

weird harness: notice how there are no rubber blocks on the coil harness.

One other weird thing....the MAP is mounted backwards, as it's the only way the harness will reach it.....pics later

I have a F20C2 AP1 and it follows all your "normal" Pics, including the "Inspection" (production?) stamps. It looks like this is an early production/(prototype) example.

Maybe a call to Honda might answer the question

EDIT : I notice that none of the hoses in the pictures have any manufacturer markings/standards.

billman250, I'm sure about it. F20C2 is for the JDM engine because it has the thinner headgasket for the 11.7:1 compression. you can search, its been discussed before.
