Not much to go on. A "clunk" from the front corner could be almost anything. If you can duplicate it at will, get it checked out by the dealer. It could anything from a forgotten spring spacer, to a bad ball joint, to a bad control arm mount, to a loose sway bar mount, to a bad shock.

I have the same problem but when I'm in reverse and come to a stop. This use to happen to my Civic all the time and the dealer said it was normal, yeah right
Control arm or ball joint would be my best guess for what I got going on.

You don't happen to have a Saner bar, do you?

Yeah, sounds like something in the suspension isn't bolted down tight enough. Easiest thing to do would be to pull the wheel off, grab a torque wrench and make sure everything is torqued to the right spec.

By any chance--any recent work you had done to the front?

It doesnt duplicate all the time but does is from stationary going forward i.e. 5 mph, then now and again when slowing dwon (but rarely).

No work done to it, its just developed this past few days and is a bit worrying.

Out of interest how much are these various part to replace i.e. ball joint, suspension parts etc, if it is this??

I will take the wheel off the weekend and check the suspension and let you guys know.
