Default Knocking noise when I take a sharp left turn! Always!

Hey everyone,

I want to see if anyone has experienced the same issue I am currently. I am hearing/feeling a "clunk" knocking sound on front driver side and its driving me CRAZY! The sound is strong enough that I feel the clunk via the pedals. It feels as if it may be suspension related possibly? It very apparent when I take a sharp left turn only. My wheels are not rubbing anything. Really need some advice on this, thanks!

I actually had this happening on my DD (1999 Mustang) about a month ago, but on the passenger side. Whenever I induced some body roll toward that side (turning left), there was a pretty noticeable clunk. Ended being the sway bar mounting stud was completely sheared off so the sway bar was knocking into the remainder of the stud, but wasn't anchored. Bought a replacement stud for like $15, installed myself in about 30 minutes, problem solved. Here's hoping your problem is just as easy, but that's the first place I would check, sway bar mounts/bushings on your driver side.

Could be a handful of things:
- wheel bearings
- swaybar endlink
- bushings

jack the car up and start checking wheel bearings, go from there.

You got it right. The swaybar endlink was a little loose so it was moving around a bit. Glad that annoying noise it taken care of! Thanks!
