hi guys my friend at honda just hooked me up with a tranny flush and diff fluid, my question is that they had no more 75-90 so he putted in 80-90 for the diff...will that be ok ? we already drained the diff fluid so all we had was that to work with and i needed to get the car off the rack... hopefully it should be ok ? anyhow any input would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

 

should be fine, 75 wouldn't be needed in your region as it doesn't get overly cold there.

what about hot weather areas?

 

I prefer a 110 fluid, or even 140 in those extreme heat locations. Amsoil makes 75-110 and 75-140 but if you can't find it perhaps you can locate it in a different brand in your area - Motul or Shell etc....

 

Also make sure is GL-5 for the diff.

 

the only thing i found was Mobile 80W90

 

Changed out my trans & diff yesterday.

Honda MTF in trans,RP Max Gear 75-90 in diff.
