There is a new VTEC bracket that is shipping with current SC kits, however it alone is not likely enough to prevent broken brackets if you suffer from them. Only a couple(half dozen or so) seem to be. I also have an enhanced Alternator bracket but this version is not shipping with the current kit and I don't think Comptech will do so in the future as it no longer seems to be needed.

I also have a new bracket that helps strengthen the main mounting plate of the SC kit. This new bracket will likely be shipped with the SC kits in the near future as it seems to fix the bracket breaking problem. In the tests that I mentioned in the above post Comptech tried a number of different things to reduce the large vibrations that seemed to be breaking the brackets, a harmonic damper and spring tensioner among them.

This new bracket that SilverSurfer and I now have was by far the most effective at reducing the problematic vibrations.

I don't know how Comptech plans on handling request for the newer brackets, indeed I don't believe the newest plate bracket is shipping with the SC kits yet as we are still testing it. I suggest you get ahold of them to find out. You should also ask them about the GB as I don't know what their official policy is at the moment.

Quick, The GB performs the same function as the CV and is a replacement for it. You should try using the CV first and see how it works for you. It seems to be no problem for most people. However, I think we haven't heard much because of the warmer/drier weather. It seemed to be more of a problem for people in moist climates.

Hmmm.... sorry for the long posts...
