Default Ghost in the machine

Looking for some help in a possible grounding issue. I've got some weird things going on with the S2k. For example: My intermitten wiper does not work. Regular speed and fast wiper work fine. Cruise control works about 90% of the time. If I'm running cruise and I turn on the wipers, the cruise cancels. Sometimes my side marker lights work, sometimes they don't. No license plate light. Headlights, tail lights, turn signals, interior lights, power windows, top, all work fine. Everything else works fine. Car runs great, no CEL'S. I'm not sure how many grounding points there are on the car. Is there a diagram somewhere that shows grounding point locations? Thanks

You have two grounding bundles in the front of the engine bay on either side of the headlights, bundle of grounds inside on the drivers side next to the ecu, plus your two grounds from chassis to transmission / block which are on the drivers side underneath close to the subframe and your main ground behind the cylinder head

Try replacing your battery ground cable, can cause all sorts of electrical gremlins even if it looks good. You can purchase a 2g wire with battery terminal attached for around $8 at your local auto parts

With engine off, you can measure the DC resistance from the battery terminal (-) to the engine, various positions of chassis & body, interior ground points... etc. Should be at or near zero ohms. If not, you prolly have connection and/or contact issues.

...and best part about that resistance test, once you fix the bad ground, you will be able to tell right away. Won't have to wait days to see if intermittent issues are really gone.

Try a ground fix, test again with meter. Repeat.

Thanks guys. The bundle of ground wires next to the driver's side headlight was loose. I tightened those down and now everything is working as it should. I just went to lunch with the top down. Cruise, side markers, and wipers working as they should. Beautiful day hear in King, NC. 60° and not a cloud in a Carolina blue sky. Thanks again.
