Default got into a fender bender

my control arms needed to be replaced...shocks, and springs needed to go back into stock...i put my car up on alignment twice now and after both times my steering wheel seems to be crooked ever so slightly...now i was told that they did the alignment as best as they could but could the problem be in the actual steering wheel? i heard somewhere that you can open up the steering wheel and play around with it (adjust it) to make it sit flush...can anyone verify this and how difficult would it be to do it? thanks in advance

You just have an incompetent alignment tech. And/or you are being over-sensitive.

Last few times I got an alignment, the tech had me sit in the car and hold the wheel where I thought it was centered. So then if I didn't like the wheel position, it was my own damn fault!

Your guy is incompetent.

I can tune a steering wheel in 2 minutes, laser straight.

It's all done with the threaded tie rods, not the steering wheel.
