hey all, i recently purchased a MY03 silvertone about a month ago and when i first got the car i never noticed to much of a high level but now it bugs me, but heres the problem.....when shifting from 1st-2nd, and 2nd-3rd i hear a weird vibration kind of like a growling noise, and you can feel it in the clutch pedal. I dont ride the clutch when shifting, and have tried all diff. kinda of engagement points during shifting to see if it would go away but nothing. when shifting from 4th-5th and so on shifting like i would from 1st-3rd there is no growling or weird feel in the pedal....anyone know what it could be? and again the car is a MY03 with 7k miles. Thanks ahead of time, i would appreciate it.

 

I noticed the exact same thing in my MY03... I would love to know as well.

 

its the noisy throwout bearing.

alright, thanks Razor but you dont think its anything i should worry about right? And have you seen the same in your MY03.

 

all s2000's i have driven make this noise, so i am willing to say its normal. more of an annoyance than anything else.
