Default Hard Clutch & Shifting?

I am an ex 06 s2k owner and in the process of buying a used 08 S2k with 25,000 miles on it. I have test driven the car and everything seems to be ok with the exception that the clutch was around 50% harder to push than my old 06 S2k and shifting gears seemed to need a little more effort.

Should I be worried or something has changed in the mechanism of the 08 models? (please note that here in my country we get the euro spec AP1 version)

I have tried to search for an answer on this forum but could not locate a case that is similar to this one.

Thanks!

the 08 tranny should be the same. Maybe it has an aftermarket clutch in it? but that wouldnt affect gear changes.

The fact the tranny shifting gears requires more effort seems to be a redflag to me. It shouldnt really need a tranny fluid change @ that low of miles, but it wouldnt hurt to have the dealer change it before you buy and see if its any better.

How long since you've driven the '06?

Go to a dealership and test drive a new(er) one and see if it feels the same. If not, do not buy.

Thanks guys for your replies!

The last time I have driven a 06 & a 07 was just 2 weeks ago and the clutch & tranny felt a little lighter. I have also test driven another 08 and the clutch was heavier (thats why I concluded that something may have changed with the 08 models)

The 08 that I am currently looking at seems to be very clean and has been tested and passed in the dealership.

I just want to know that in this case what would be the worst case scenario if I purchased the car putting in consideration that it is still under warranty?
