Thumbs up Hard shifter Issue

Hey,

I'm having an issue with my shifter, I had a shop install a ap2 motor/tranny with a Comp. Clutch 1620 series. And the now the shifter has a real resistance feeling in the shifter. It doesnt feel normal, as if the shifter has a quicksand feel to it. The car drives fine and the gears dont seem to grind or anything.

I've heard the shift fork my be mis aligned. Could that be it or is there something wrong. The shop told me it'll loosen up, I beg to differ.

Thanks guys

The first two things to check are that it has the proper MT fluid and that the shifter assembly was properly lubricated using urea grease.

The tranny is filled with GM Syncromesh. I'm not sure the shop, lubed the shifter assembly. But i'll check. Would a non-probably lubricated shifter area cause the symptoms?
