Great tips!!! Many people report that releasing the bleeder caps would do nothing because no coolant ever comes out of those two places. I guess if you have the front of the car jacked up, coolant would actually travel to the head and block due to gravity?

I guess this is good to know... at least that removing those bleeder caps actually work.

Yes, I could not get fluid out either. I read about somebody jacking up the car and it worked well. Actually makes the top radiator hose the highest point in the cooling system so that antifreeze will back fill.

Yup, that makes sense. I am sure this would work on most cars as well, speeding up the coolant-filling process... allowing antifreeze to backfill into the engine as a result of gravity.

so i put my old mishimoto radiator cap on the new radiator and my overheating issue stopped. i never even got to four bars and i drove for over a half hour (modifry ect- four bars is okay- it means the cooling fans will turn on- around 200 degrees) with the old cap i was hitting four bars within five minutes of driving. so everyone that is having this issue i recommend picking up a new radiator cap- i will probably order the skunk 2 one when i get paid. i can't say i trust the mishimoto radiator caps anymore.

Glad to see this thread is still being referenced. Mishimoto caps are hit and miss. My first was a miss. The second one is still functioning perfectly. No problems since I originally posted this thread

well i put the old cap on and it ran good last night and i had no issues on my way to work this morning. i was stuck in bumper to bumper traffic for about ten minutes on my way home and i started to smell coolant and this is what i found. so i am starting to think that maybe it might be the filler neck

so it looks like I'm having the same issue as all of you. car overheated out of no where on friday so I towed the car home. sunday I bleed the system and the car was fine. I went out and really tested the car with wot pulls for an hr and my temps were fine. tonight I took the car out for a 5min drive and it started overheating. I have a mishimoto. I'm on my 2nd cap from them. My first cap was leaking a little coolant whenever it was first capped and pressure built.
