Default The Hells with this clutch?

Congrats to me.. LOL I just got a 06 Whits s2k.

Ya can skip the first part if ya want...

I was driving in the right lane with no traffic infront of me. The lane to my left was all backed up.. so I chose to take the right lane and make a right @ the light. After passing aprox 20 cars that were stoped in the left lane out of a small opening shoots a honda mini van. I slamed on my brakes. I do admit I was going abit fast for the conditions I was doing about 40. She hits her breaks and stop infront of me. I culdent swerve but I stopped about 3 - 5 feet from her side opening door. She shot out with out looking! I was soo pissed.. then she proceded to sit there for another 10 seconds. LOL well about that time i was fed up. I layed on my horn. she finally got her people mover out of the street and i layed on the gas and let the clutch fly....

OK heres the point...
When I hit the gas and droped the clutch the clutch slipped like F'n crazy. I mean It was not an 8k drop clutch launch. i would gues it was around 5k. This is not a normal thing for me but my road rage meter was peged @ pissed. ha previously I have 05 RX-8 and never had that problem.. If there was too much power.. the wheels just broke loose.. Back a few years go I was looking at a used 02 s2k I was at a stopsign and the salesman said "go ahead and give her a good go here.. See what shes got." I was an industrial area. no one around and i did.. I had the same experience..that time it was worse.. I let off the gas and told the sales man something was wrong with the clutch.

Is the clutch a week point...? I am pretty sure thinking back on the situation in my car, the TC was off.

Thanks guys..

WOW just got a 06S2k and your doing these crazy clutch drops???

Any way... the slave cylinder has a clutch delay which does not allow the clutch to fully bite untill your actually off the pedal. Most people modify the slave so it gets rid of the delay and works just like a conventional clutch.

do a search "Clutch Delay"
