Help, battery/starter problem
update, i finally got the car to start. no blown fuses, no poor connections. i just put the battery back under the hood for now. I disconnected the power wire that i had running to the trunk and just used the factory wires to connect the battery under the hood. i was using 4gauge wire to run the battery in the trunk. is it possible i fried the wire running to the trunk only? Because everything works normally now. is it possible that by running a larger than factory diameter wire that there was too little resistance? im still stumped as to why the car didnt work with the aftermarket wire, as there are no nicks etc on the wire (or any other places that could cause a short). to anyone running a battery in your trunk, what gauge wire did you use? Thanks.

Wire resistance increases with wire length. The larger the diameter of the conductor the more current the wire can conduct. Most trunk mounted batteries use 1 or 0 gauge wire. If your ground cable is too to small, or poorly connected it won't matter what cable you used to go to the front.
To trunk mount the battery, you need larger diameter cables with good connections at both ends.

resistance also decreases when you increase the diameter. i'm almost positive it was the wire that is not working, because the ground etc was/is fine. i guess the loud popping sound i heard originally had something to do with the 4gauge power wire. cause after the popping sound, nothing worked. but before i tried to start the car, everything else worked fine (ie lights etc) so it was definately getting power. reguardless, car works now with the battery in the stock location. im going to get another power wire and try it again. thanks again for everyones help
once again, there were NO BLOWN FUSES/CONNECTIONS....very strange

Maybe the wire run to the trunk is shorted out somewhere along the way.

for this as one of my first suggestions:

Backtrack and disconnect the relocation kit and put the battery back to where it was. If nothing works still, you've got something blown.
