Buy a factory clutch pressure plate, disc, bearings, release guide (very important), and HT urea grease, all from a Honda dealership.

Google search Exedy clutch reviews for S2000's specifically. They fail at/before 20K miles like clockwork
This OR the one thing the OP can change out IF he desires to go boost somewhere down the line is an ACT HD pressure plate (H021 - the yellow champion). All other parts OEM.

As others have said, Exedy is a disaster exclusively for S2000s. I don't know why, or how, but they literally just cannot make clutches for our cars. Pretty sure they're the OE for Civics though, so it's not like their parts are low quality--they just don't work for our cars.

FCC is the OEM for this car. The RockAuto Sachs kit is pretty good if you're looking to save a buck. How reliable is it? I don't really know. DIYGuys/Soviet says it's good and it's been installed on a bunch of his client's cars, so I'm all for it.

I think it's any clutch disc that is made with uncaged springs.

OEM Honda clutch disc.

Exedy clutch kit. See how different the springs are held onto the disc?

I don't recall exactly who suggested it, but I used "Seagulls Japan" on eBay to get a clutch friction disc. I already have the pressure plate and other parts. It was $148 including FedEx shipping. (I had to pay Calif sales tax) and it took about a week and a half to get here.

Authentic Japanese parts from fleabay are legit. I bought a pair of OEM motor mounts from them for like $240 for the pair, they're $200 each from the dealership.

It's always great to find bargains on genuine JDM parts. eBay is totally fine if you know what you're looking for and I've gotten some great deals there before. RHDJapan and Nengun are also pretty good sites that ship authentic parts at good prices.

Amayama has the OEM clutch kit for about $300-$400 less than Majestic even. So that is a good option if anyone is still looking.

I ordered mine through Majestic (had not heard about Amayama yet) and my friend did his through Amayama and yep, he spent around $400 less than I did per what he told me. It is actually a larger difference if you are buying a new flywheel as well. Both of us did but bought Pro-Lites for ours so did not buy an OEM one. Here is a breakdown we did of the main parts of the clutch for both. And shipping was not more either. It just takes a 2-3 weeks to get it from Amayama but worth the wait if you can. And they actually refunded part of his shipping after they shipped because they were able to ship cheaper. They did the same thing on an order I placed with them as well. Solid supplier for sure.
