You dont have one of the sensor plates on the cams in the wrong way up?

Which crank chopper wheel are you using?

Ap1 chopper plates look symmetric.
Ap1 inductive crank wheel. and ap1 inductive sensor
Called Honda tech and he said probably off by a tooth , but they looked right to me.
I'll have the shop its at take another look.

Cams were each off by a tooth.....
Why the hell is our engine so hard to align the cams?

I've never had a problem with it.

So since the cams were off one tooth, did you fix that and thus solve your problem?

So great news. I drive the car home from the shop..... and i get tapping, then rough idle, then flashing cel it dies....
I pull of the valve cover....
The shop kindly left the little metal valve rocker holders on there. the things you put on so that when you remove the valve train you can easily put the rockers back in the same place.
I remove them and I don't have the right size feeler gauge but i do my best, just to see if my baby will run again...
no such luck. flashing CEL again
Pretty sure its a bent valve in cyl 4. No scan though.......
And it ran great for all of 2 hours. Oversized valves and 2.2 liters sure make a difference.
Also a rather loud humming noise from the intake, don't know if that comes with the bent valve or if it has to do with the ported 1mil oversized valves.
Sadly I don't know how much longer I will be an S owner

I think I'd have left the rocker holders on there and had the car towed back to the shop. They should be responsible for fixing that screw-up and it's consequences at no cost to you.
