I've installed all the plumming for the oil pressure gauge thanks to Xvipers "How to thread" The adaptors really made the install very simple and looks nice too =) As far as wiring the unit up, I have no idea where to tap the wires so that it can supply power for the unit/gauges. I came across this picture. Does it tap into the ecu? Can someone post pics on which wires were used?

Thanks for your support,

Philip D.

tap the wires into your car radio wires
you will need
1. constant power +
2. light +
3. ground and
4. ignition +

All of these wires are in the back of the car's head unit. I did not take any pics when I did the job. Sorry

Philip, I think I may have misinterpretted your PM as to what exactly you wanted to know. After reading this post, I'm a little clearer on the concept. If I read your post correctly, your real question is: "Where do I get power and ground from for my Defi gauges?" If this is so, then read the rest of my reply here:
That picture you posted is ONLY to explain to you HOW to do wire taps. It really has very little to do with actually wiring up the gauges, which is what I thought you were asking.
With all due respect to honda9krpm, the back of the HU may NOT be the best place to pull power and ground.
I would suggest you take a look at your underdash fuse panel. Like this here:

Notice the RED, YELLOW, RED wires? These wires are NOT normally there. These are my wires from some accessories that I have tapped in for power. These 3 outlets are unused and are specifically for custom accessories like what you are trying to do.
-one is HOT with dash lights.
-one is HOT when IGNITION is ON.
-one is HOT all the time.
You want the one that is HOT with IGNITION. Use a circuit tester to find out which one it is (I just can't remember off the top of my head which is which). You will need a medium sized female spade connector spliced onto the HOT lead of your Defi controller. This will make it a simple plug and play. You can take GROUND from the main ground bolt near the fuse panel. Stick your head under the dash and with a flashlight, look up near the side close to the door hinges. You will see a whole bunch of black wires that are "octopussed" onto a single amber colored bolt. Use a wire tap to splice into one of those wires for ground.
Sorry I couldn't tell you this in the PM.
If I recall correctly, you only need POWER and GROUND for the DEFI controller. The controller itself will provide the necessary power and ground for the gauges themselves so you need not worry about lights.
I cannot tell in the following pic, if the controller has 2 or 3 wires for power and ground and (possibly) a "constant" power:

Thanks xviper
I think there is always more than one way of doing this. I recalled looking at this location for power before but in my car it's very messy with wires as I have a few other electronics. I have an afermarket audio head unit so taking the head unit out is very easy for me.
The Delfi unit itself drain very little power so it's ok to hook up to any power source. From memory the unit need a light on +ve. This is important for the delfi meter system but might not be so important for the delfi meter BF system.
