I have been having a problem with the check engine light coming on also. My dealer has the car now and is telling me that it may be because of burnt valves (covered under Honda Care) or bent valves (not covered under Honda Care). They had me authorize $850 to tear down the engine to determine the problem. If it is covered under Honda Care there will be no charge to me, if it isn't I will have to pay the $850 plus a few thousand (that is as close as an estimate that he would give me) to fix it. Is there any reason why I should not feel like I am being taken for a ride???
