same thing just happened again. Except now its 3 am and not a single car in sight to help, and my friends wont answer the phone to help. I'm just gonna drop money on an alternator and if it keeps happening I dont know what I'm gonna do. Connections are tight on the battery this time.

You know, those burnt wires point to something more than simple charging issue. May want a good mechanic to check out your electrical system. Just my 2¢ worth.
Good luck!

You need troubleshooting help. Don't just throw expensive parts at it like an alternator. As you already discovered, a charging system issue can be something as simple as a loose battery connection (it was one of your charging system issues).
You seem to lack these skills (as evidenced by this thread), and for some reason are reluctant to want to try and learn them. So seek assistance. Start with a charging system check at a local AutoZone or similar.
For example, what if its just that the loose battery cable and all the discharging and sudden recharging of your battery have killed it. Maybe it was just the cable, but now its the battery? Note, I'm not saying buy a battery first. I'm saying do some real troubleshooting.
