Help with oilpan removal
im trying to drop the oil pan but i cant seem to get the two 14mm bolts going through the bell housing to turn. They broke loos from the surface and turned one full turn but then seized. I thought maybe i binded them some how by removing too many of the other 10mm bolts so i put the triangle jack right under the oilpan to give it some support. tried it in three different spots from the front of the pan to the back. i also removed the ac compressor brace thing that attaches to the oilpan. i dont know if im missing something or just need to put air tools to it. i have a bad habit of breaking bolts so im trying other things before i try and force them out.
I would put some of the 6mm (10mm head) bolts back in to get the pan in-line with the trans again.
Then.. because the front of the 10mm (14mm head) bolt is visible from the front of the oil pan it corrodes and picks up dirt, I would clean the tip of the bolt with a wire brush and lube it with WD40 or something simular (better).
Let it soak for a while and try again.
If it turns a bit further I would still tighten it up again, clean and lube it until you can remove it all the way without any signs of seizing.
A corroded steel bolt in an alu housing = steel bolt wins and alu has no thread.

Whatever you do, try your best to NOT break them.
Once you break them it become very intense to remove the oilpan.
Just watch the back of the bolt from the engine side and be sure it is turning. you will likely take all the threads out of the oil pan but thats ok.
They are not binding because you pulled out all the little bolts. These 2 bolts do this all the time.
