HELP! Squeaking noise from the REAR driver's wheel
#11
Looks like I will be having to do this myself. We thought it was something with the brakes at first. Took the rotor off, cut it and took it for a drive. Noise went away for a day then came back but alot louder. So we will try the wheel bearing now. Only problem will be is to whether or not I need an alignment after. Im assuming so, is that correct?

Hey everyone... Can someone tell me if this issue was ever resolved? I'm having the same issue... And like the previous guy, I have replaced the brakes and even changed the oil on the differential. The noise is like a squeaky door hindge but faintly... Coming from the rear drivers side as well. Any feedback would be gladly appreciated...

You'll need a new hub as well. Otherwise, the squeaking won't go away.
Replace both the hub and get a new wheel bearing pressed in as well. I had to do this last year. My guess is that its from not having the tighter torque specs on the axle nut over a period of time and the bearing race slips inside the scored hub.

I think I bought the Dorman unit and the timken bearing (same oem manufacturing number).
