High Rev Issue
And more additonal info: The owner's manual recommends that you start the car, wait a few SECONDS, and then drive slowly to warm up the engine. Once the engine's coolant reaches temp, you can drive normally. There are SO many benefits to doing it this way rather than letting it idle to warm up.
Also, you may want to drive normally for a while longer before driving the car hard. Coolant temp and oil temp are two different things .

Clearly the OP was already driving, so he's not one of the types to leave the car idling to warm up (which yes, we all know it's not as good as driving it steadily because it takes longer to warm up), the OP clearly has issue with the fact that he had to use more revs than sensible on a cold engine due to the circumstances.
OP, don't sweat it, the car would limit you much lower if there was any issues with taking the revs that high. Obviously repeated/sustained use of those revs when it's cold would cause premature wear, but doing it once or twice isn't such an issue.
