Default How to attach remote for V-1

Have seen pictures of the V-1 remote display mounted under the controls on the right hand side of the dash just above the radio. Have done the same with velcro, but the velcro adhesive doesn't attach to the dash for long. Tried super glue on top of that without much better success. Wondered how some of you attached it so it stays put. It may be the Houston heat and humidity, but I am ready to try alternatives to velcro if anyone has any ideas. Thanks.

I had that probloem on my M3 and I solved it by first cleaning the area with a solvent and then applying the self-adhesive velcro. I used rubbing alcohol but there may be better choices.

Thanks, Stan. Tried that, but the heat may just be too much for the self adhesive on the velcro. Worked for about a week and then it got loose again. Not bad in the cool weather though, so I may have to live with cleaning and reattaching as it comes loose. Thanks again.

I just used the stuff that came with the Valentine 1 remote display; Scotch SuperLock or something?

Most of the time my car is in mild to cool Seattle, but it survived the trip to Thunderhill in June; 100

I had the same problem. I found a two inch piece of velcro that came with something else, it works much better.

I mounted it right underneath the piece where the ignition is. I am 6 foot and never had a problem with my knee hitting it. It is also very invisible to people looking in the car.
