how bad is "dumping gear" on an ap2 differential
I believe it include's all bearings. E-mail or call him, Jeff is a great guy. I wouldn't go with an ACT disc, Jeff can tell you why. Its not neccesary, the stock clutch with ACT pressure plate has PLENTY of clamping force.

you should be shifting so fast u dont need to even let off the gas. just use the clutch to change gears while remaining full throttle. it's the fastest way to shift....

AP2 cars take a different technique to drive, esp with the delay removed. If you've got it down, you will always walk an AP1, stock for stock. Timing is everything.

What he was saying was that the AP2 must be properly driven which is a different technique from an AP1. Your buddy probably doesn't drive it as well as he could.
