Talking How do I run the A/C fan with the A/C comp. OFF

Is it possible to run the A/C Fan without running the A/C Compressor?

I was thinking of disconnecting the supply plug from the compressor,

will this work, or it will disconnect the fan aswell or damage the ecu or something?

Is there another option like taking a fuse off or something?

Thanks...

I want to run the Fan alone, to get more cooling on my radiator.

Cheers

You having overheat problems?

The one fan is more than capable of handling the task...overcooling will not help.

Just thought of this to keep the motor safe while racing the car.

I thought of switching the second A/C fan will help cooling the engine.

Am I wrong ?

I would think that there is plenty of air through the radiator when the car is moving at a reasonable speed and that the radiator fan is most critical, and adequate, when you're stopped or moving slow. Have you got mods or other issues with your cooling system that are creating more heat than normal?

You are right.

But I sometimes do little drag racing, and you are left for some minutes queing for your turn down the strip....

So I thought of just running the second A/C fan while waiting...

My car has a Mugen N1 ECu, Mugen Rad. Cap, Mugen Thermostat, Mugen Fan Switch, Megan De-Cat, And I'm waiting for a Rick's Header and a MUZ Snorkel which I will fit hopefully by next week.
